Music’s in the air…

May 22nd, 2008

Couple of days ago I got my copy of the new Billy Franks‘ album “The Turtledove Boutique”, and what can I say, I love it. It’s a great album, very well produced and Billy’s voice is just amazing. I already have 4 favourite songs, “No need of bells”, “Somewhere else”, “Stolen Guitars” and “The Turtledove Boutique” (probably the best one). So everyone who likes some good tunes I recommend his album.

So, what else…..this weekend it’s the Eurovision Songcontest again. Yes, our household loves it and of course we have to watch it. Last Tuesday was already the first Semi Final (today’s the 2nd) and thank God that Irish turkey didn’t get through. Our favourite (again) will be Finland’s entry, some good old Hard Rock/Metal, so our vote will go to Teräsbetoni (I heard the English name would be “Steel concrete” LOL.
Hmmm, not sure about the German one again, the song is not that bad but I’m not a massive Pop Fan.
England’s entry……well, I like the voice of that guy, but the song is just boring and the “kick” is missing.
The songs of all the other countries are not my cup of tea, but I have the strange feeling again that one of the Eastern European Countries will win again.
Come on Rock Fans, vote for Finland!!!!!!!! :)

Eine grossartige Schauspielerin ist von uns gegangen, und wieder viel zu jung. Sie war wirklich fantastisch und ich war und bin immer ein grosser Fan von ihr gewesen. R.I.P.

The race yesterday…

October 1st, 2007

I know I didn’t write much lately about the F1 races, reasons are not much time and not very well. Anyway, yesterdays race was absolutely fun to watch. It was so heavy raining there that they had to start the race with the safety car in front. Ferrari were really silly and didn’t start with heavy rain tyres on, so they had to pit quite early and were suddenly on the back of the grid *LOL*.
The best bit was when Alonso had a bit of aqua planning and went straight into the wall *he he he*, sooooooooooo no points for him. Plus, Lewis won the race *hooray*. 2nd came Heikki Kovalainen and 3rd Kimi Raikkonen. I can’t remember where Massa ended up, because the whole race was just a mess.

Anyway, Lewis is leading the world championship with 12 points ahead of Alonso now and as long as his car stays reliable and he scores lots of points he can win it.

Oh, and the latest news I just read on a German sport website: Ralf Schumacher would like to have a cockpit with McLaren next year *LOL*. You can imagine, it made my day *ggg*, I never laughed so much. He’s really dreaming, isn’t he?!

End of the race

August 5th, 2007

Just a short note, not much in a blogging mood today (sorry). The Hungarian Grand Prix was actually pretty boring, not much happened there. Lewis won (had a great race without any mistakes), 2nd came Kimi and 3rd Heidfeld. Alonso finished 4th and Massa 13th (LOL).
Not much else to say.

Eckelsteins Teil 10

August 5th, 2007

Here we go again. :)

Shame on Alonso…

August 4th, 2007

Waaaaaah, I don’t know what to say about the Qualifying. I can just shake my head. And would love to send Alonso up to the moon with no return ticket. Bloody Spanish git. It looked so good for Lewis, he was fastest the whole Qualifying and what happened in the last session?! Yes, Alonso had a pit stop, Lewis came into the pits too, but instead of driving off stupid Alonso stood there and waited and waited. So Lewis at the end had no time anymore to finish a last lap. Moron. Arschgeige. Bloedmann. Grrrrrrr….. Ok, Lewis will start 2nd on the grid, but IT IS JUST NOT SPORTY FROM ALONSO. And the best bit, Alonso said after the race it was the Team’s fault, not his. Yeah right, and little bees are flying out of my arse. Pfffff…..

Anyway, at least the Ferraris had a bit of a problem today. Kimi will start 4th and Massa 14th (he he he). 3rd is Heidfeld.

And now I’m off to eat LOTS of chocolate, that might relax me a bit again.

*toddles off mumbling “fucking Alonso”*

A bit of fun..

July 22nd, 2007

That’s the new Mercedes advert with Lewis Hamilton, Fernando Alonso and ……….I won’t say, just watch it. It’s really funny.

Rain, rain - oh, more rain…

July 22nd, 2007

Man, what a race, that was so much fun to watch. First shit lots of rain so they had to stop the race and then the fight between Alonso and Massa at the end - I was never laughing that much before. LOL The best bit then the little “conversation” between the two on the way to the podium. I was just waiting that they knock each other down *ggggggg*.
Anyway, a brilliant race (I have to admit) from Alonso, but also from Lewis. Unfortunately he didn’t finish in the points but he was driving like hell. Kimi didn’t finish the race due to electrical problems (nothing new there), I feel a bit sorry for him.
Results: Alonso 1st, Massa 2nd and (wow) Webber 3rd.

Eckelsteins zum 9.

Und heute wieder Eckelsteins, Teil 9.

Viel Spass!

Quali in Germany

July 22nd, 2007

Didn’t really watch the Quali yesterday, we had some nice visitors around.
Anyway, I saw a bit and the crash from Lewis didn’t look nice. But he was cleared this morning to drive, so he’ll start at 10th on the grid. First is Kimi, 2nd Alonso and 3rd Massa. Little Schumacher is 9th, so be careful Lewis, he might crash into your car while you overtake him (we all know how silly Schu is).
