Australian cabinet…

That’s brilliant, just look who’s the new Environment, Heritage and Arts Minister! I didn’t know he was so much into politics, but I’m sure he’s great in it, as he was with his band Midnight Oil.

June 25th, 2007

An “Amen” to that.

The catholic church just released “10 Commandments” for drivers.
Scroll down to No. 61 and there it is. I’m not catholic but protestant, and honestly, I think it is ridiculous. Who on earth is sitting in his car thinking “Cars shall not be for you an expression of power and domination, and an occasion of sin.” Oh, and of course “You shall not kill”. Doooooooh…

A bit of politics for a change

June 5th, 2007

I was thinking to write about politics for quite a while now and have tried to avoid it. The main reason is that I (as I said in a post before) can`t express myself as good as I would like to, plus I don`t have such a long experience with the British politics as I have lived in England for only two years, but I am interested in politics for many years now, previously German. But now that I am in England I am more into the English politics.

I always have been a “greeny leftie”, means I supported the SPD and the Greens in Germany and now I am a proud member of the Labour Party here in England. I was very proud that Gerhard Schroeder said “No” to the Iraq war, therefore I didn`t agree with what Tony Blair did. I don`t think he made many mistakes, but it was probably the best that he resigned. I`m very confident that Gordon Brown will make a good Prime Minister. ANYTHING would be better than having the Tories in Downing Street. Sorry, but I definitely can`t take that David Cameron serious. My grumpy boyfriend wrote a post about him here which I also commented, so I won`t say the same here now again. All I have to say now is that when I saw him the first time, his comments in parliament and his Webcameron-thing, I just have to laugh about him, he`s ridiculous.

Anyway, I am proud being Labour as I was proud supporting the SPD in Germany, and hell, it`s a good thing I don`t live there anymore. :)
