Enjoying Germany…

Finally - the first holiday pic. That’s me with my sister Bianca and my gorgeous little sunshine.

Some holiday reflections…

August 29th, 2007

I was actually trying to post a new photo, but somehow it doesn’t work (again). Will try it tomorrow again, I gave up for today.

Anyway, sorted all the washing and now I have some time to relax.
The holidays were absolutely great. Nice weather (finally a bit of summer), met lots of friends and family again and the best - yummy food. Mika enjoyed it too, he had a massive garden to play in, a big sandpit with water buckets, lots of cars, a cat to chase and a cousin to play with. Not to forget the grandparents and aunties who adored and worshipped him too.

One day we went to the local zoo, Mika’s first “proper” time there. He was there last year too, but he was to small then and slept all the time. Anyway, this time he was eye to eye with a leopard, only a bit of glass was between them. My grumpy boyfriend enjoyed the Penguins a lot (for obvious reasons).

Another day we went to Poland for some shopping. We got some fags for my grumpy boyfriend (only 15 Euros for 10 packs), some clothes for me and Mika and lots of toys for him too.

The most fun I had was the “driving lesson” with my old driving teacher. I think at some points he got almost some heart attacks, because he forgot that I wasn’t a “pupil” anymore. LOL But it was great driving with him again and the car was bloody fast (he he he).

One sad thing though. One day before we left my first car ever was sold to some Polish people *sniff*. I had it at my parents garden (probably only out of nostalgia), but now my eldest sister and brother-in-law need the space there, because they want to build a house.
Anyway, my dad sold it for 60 Euros *sniff* *sniff* *sniff* and now it’s gone. Forever. My cute little black Ford Fiesta. Together we went everywhere in Germany. Ah well, those were the days.

Well, what else happened. I had a great birthday party in my parents garden with the whole family (well, almost all of them anyway) and a very good friend of mine (my little “brother” I call him, even though he’s huge and not my “real” brother). We had a nice barbecue and lots of alcohol (none for me though).

I also brought some nice books with me again (love reading). Unfortunately not all of the books fitted in the suitcases, so I had to leave 3 or 4 there and only brought 5 with me. But my mum already promised to send me the rest via post (thank you dear mama).

Anyway, that’s enough for now, have to cook something, I am hungry.

Back again…

August 27th, 2007

Yes, I’m still alive. We are just back from the wilds of Germany and I’m so bloody exhausted. It was a great holiday, lots of fun, food and entertainment.
I keep it brief now, not much time and far to tired.
More later, probably tomorrow.

Holidays…

August 11th, 2007

Well, well, well. The bags are packed (almost anyway) and we are ready to leave. Ok, we have to wait one more day, but then it’s off to good old Germany for 2 weeks *hooray*. I really look forward to it and can hardly wait now. It will be great seeing my family again, my sisters, nephew, and all my friends (at least the ones who still live there).

It’s also my birthday next week, so we’ll have a big party in my parents garden (gosh, another year older *sniff*) with a nice barbecue.

One day we’ll also go to Poland to a big market where we can get lots of cheap stuff (especially fags for my grumpy boyfriend). The border is not very far from where my parents live, only about 30-45 minutes, so it’s not really a long drive.

And yes, that’s what I definitely look forward to - driving again. Ok, my dads car is a bit, well, boring, because it’s automatic, but it’s nice and comfy, and most important FAST (he he he).

Anyway, we are off tomorrow, so no more blogging for the next 2 weeks here. I don’t think I will have much time, plus my parents don’t have an internet connection (yet).
I wish you all a nice weekend and I’ll be back soon.

Und wieder London

June 12th, 2007

LOL

Mallorca und der Durchfall ruft LOL

June 5th, 2007

Jep, heute gehts mir schon wieder etwas besser.

Back to Germany…

May 19th, 2007

I`m really in a holiday mood lately. Today I`ll book our flights to Germany and I look so forward to it. We`ll go in August for 2 weeks (wish it could be longer) and I can hardly wait now. The last time we went was over Christmas and New Years Eve and since then I haven`t seen my Dad and my eldest sister. My Mum was here 2 months ago with my 2nd sister and I already miss them so much. I`m not really homesick, I love living here, I just would like to see my family more often. Ok, and I miss the food. I really have to say that English food is not my thing, it`s far too fat. Since my operations I have to be very careful with what I eat, so everything which is fat I simply can`t eat, my stomach would kill me. So German food is much better for me (especially the yummy home-made food from my Mum) ;) Ah well, I guess I have to wait some more months and then I am back in the wilds of Germany, he he he.
